Why The Sabre Line of Tug Type Towbars?

The Sabre line of tug type aircraft towbars incorporates a unique design that allows the operator to connect to the aircraft as a one man operation. This is done using the Derringer’s slide and latch design. This cutting-edge design was so unique it was awarded a US patent for its revolutionary slide and latch operation. The Sabre tug type tow bar comes configured to connect to a large range of aircraft and offers a large range of attach fitting to accommodate virtually any aircraft nose gear tow points.

Towbar Operation

To use the operator positions the tug to a relatively close location to the aircraft, then slides the telescoping hitch to the tow vehicle's attach point and then connects. From there the operator moves the tow vehicle toward the aircraft and the latch mechanism connects making hookup a breeze.

What Does The Sabre Towbar Fit?

The universal nose gear adaptors feature a plunger style design to make it a truly universal tow bar. The center plunger has a machined hole ideal for Beechcraft tow pins.

When pushed on, these plungers retract and are ideal for ⅝” nose gear lugs like what’s found on Cessna nose gear.

The tapered end of the attach lug allows for fitment in a variety of axles or internal design nose gear tow point, such as the trunnion on a Mooney aircraft.
